The Magic Kingdom was designed to create an experience of adventure or fantasy, while Epcot’s design lends itself more to education and inspiration

Epcot is basically divided into two separate and differently themed areas. Just inside the main entrance visitors will find Future World. Among its fountains and gardens are large pavilions each showcasing a technology and offering a glimpse at its past, present and future impact on mankind.

World Showcase, Epcot’s other themed area, is situated along the shores of World Showcase Lagoon a 40-acre lake that visually and physically separates it from Future World. Eleven countries are scattered along a mile long promenade each offering guests an opportunity to experience the cuisine, culture, history and architecture of the host country.

Both Future World and World Showcase have different operating hours. Future
World will open before World Showcase and will close before World Showcase. World Showcase will open approximately two hours later than Future World.

Disney-MGM Studios is essentially divided into two sections. The front of the park is a theme park much like the Magic Kingdom with open access to guests. The rear of the park is the “backlot”, with its working sound stages, wardrobe shops and animation studios. Here access is limited to guided tours that are conducted by either walking or by tram.

Things to know before you go to a Disney Water Park:

  • Swimwear with exposed metal (i.e. rivets or buckles) will not be permitted on slides

  • Children under the age of 10 will need to be accompanied by an adult

  • Park will close during rainstorms and there are no refunds extended due to weather related closings

  • There is no “water park” hopping, that is you cannot visit Disney’s other water park Blizzard Beach with your Typhoon Lagoon admission.

  • Typhoon Lagoon will close for refurbishing for approximately one month a year, so check schedules before you go. For exact dates call (407) 560-4141.

Wet-n Wild is a first-rate water park with twisting water slides, tide pools and extreme rides.  For example: Bomb Bay uses a lock-and-load approach to the extreme slide. Patrons are locked into a tube and raised to a relaxing vertical position--until the Bomb Bay doors open. The Blue Niagara's braided tube is a great way to lose all sense of direction. Der Stuka, a six-story speed slide; Mach 5, a flume ride with three different courses; Hydra Fighter, a swing ride; Raging Rapids, a white water tubing experience; the Black Hole, 500 feet of twisting, turning darkness; Bubba Tub, a six-story triple-dip slide; Fuji Flyer, an in-line toboggan ride; the Surge, a six-story tube ride.

The most eye-catching feature of WonderWorks is the attraction's dramatic exterior, a three-story tall, classically-designed building that appears to have landed, upside down, on top of a 1930s era brick warehouse.

WonderWorks is an amusement park for the mind, featuring more than 100 interactive exhibits for all ages.
