The Magic Kingdom was
designed to create an experience of adventure or
fantasy, while Epcot’s design lends itself more to
education and inspiration
Epcot is basically
divided into two separate and differently themed
areas. Just inside the main entrance visitors will
find Future World. Among its fountains and gardens
are large pavilions each showcasing a technology and
offering a glimpse at its past, present and future
impact on mankind.
World Showcase, Epcot’s other themed area, is
situated along the shores of World Showcase Lagoon a
40-acre lake that visually and physically separates
it from Future World. Eleven countries are scattered
along a mile long promenade each offering guests an
opportunity to experience the cuisine, culture,
history and architecture of the host country.
Both Future World and World Showcase have
different operating hours. Future
World will open before World Showcase and will close
before World Showcase. World Showcase will open
